Job Summary:
The Research Test Technician will operate optoelectronic test equipment to measure OLEDs fabricated at UDC. The test equipment is a custom designed system for testing the basic optoelectronic properties of the OLED.
Responsibilities:
- Run OLED tests through a PC interface and custom software
- Gather data through the OLED test system and develop an understanding of the test procedure to ensure the integrity of the data
- Data processing, analysis, and presentation using tools like Excel and PowerPoint
- Plot and visualize data to generate detailed, clear, and comprehensive reports. This includes organizing data sets, creating charts and graphs to effectively communicate findings
- Troubleshoot test equipment with the assistance of other engineers who designed the test system
- Record, log and analyze test procedures
- Interface with other team members scheduling the test runs
- Assist with special projects, as needed
- Be prepared to work extended shifts and come in on weekends when necessary
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma at minimum; AA degree in physics, engineering, or related field preferred
- Ability to read and interpret general technical information
- Experience with data processing/presentation in Power Point, Excel, Python, Matlab, Origin are highly desirable
- Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with peers and management
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently & effectively with minimal supervision
- Actively participates and contributes to a team environment
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Follows instructions, responds to management direction
- Experience in an R&D environment and familiarity with operating electronic/optoelectronic test equipment are a plus

This is a 2nd shift position, the schedule is from 3:00pm-Midnight
