Job Summary:
The Research Chemist will work with the analytical and thermal group of the production development team our New Castle, DE facility. This key role will focus on the analytical quality control of our state-of-the-art phosphorescent OLED research materials using chromatography to analyze, identify and communicate the results into the organization with reporting and team discussions.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct purity assessments of OLED materials
  • Utilize techniques such as HPLC, GCMS, LCMS, MALDI, and related methods to analyze purity levels and identify impurities
  • Data entry and tracking of samples
  • Maintenance and upkeep laboratory equipment
  • Manage inventory of OLED retain samples
  • Undertake additional projects at the direction of your leader
  • Additional responsibilities as required
Qualifications:
  • B.S. in chemistry or related field
  • 2-5 years of relevant work experience, including internship, undergraduate research, or within an industrial setting
  • Strong background in analytical chemistry
  • Knowledge of or experience with organometallics, organic electronics, and/or small molecule purity analysis is a plus
  • Gas chromatography, liquid chromatography and/or mass spectroscopy experience strongly desired
  • Experienced in developing and optimizing LCMS methods for analytical purposes is a plus
  • Ability to perform and succeed in a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Experience reading and interpreting general technical information
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with peers and management
  • Experienced in basic computer software and internet applications – knowledge of and/or proficiency with scientific and laboratory software such as Origins, Mnova, Mercury, Python, and related software is a plus
  • Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems in an efficient, proactive manner
  • Demonstrated track record of accuracy and thoroughness
  • Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
