Position Summary: We are seeking a proactive and experienced Payroll and Benefits lead in our global payroll and benefits operations. This role is responsible for the accurate and compliant execution of payroll and benefits programs and for driving process optimization, identifying opportunities for improvement, and contributing to long-term planning in these critical HR functions. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, collaborative, and forward-thinking, with the ability to operate at both tactical and strategic levels in a dynamic, global environment.
Location:
Our global headquarters is based in our Ewing, New Jersey campus. The campus includes our Technology & Innovation Center, our Corporate Offices and our Collaboration Center which includes our gym and fully staffed cafeteria. This is a hybrid role with the typical work week on-site Monday through Thursday, with the option to work fully remote on Fridays. Responsibilities: Global Payroll
Manage and process domestic and international payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local laws
Administer wage garnishments, tax levies, and other deductions in accordance with legal requirements
Collaborate with managers to ensure proper and timely approval of time and attendance records
Provide payroll data and reports to our Finance Department as needed
Maintain state tax and unemployment accounts and records
Oversee the Paid Time Off (PTO) program to ensure consistency with company policies
Respond to employment verifications and unemployment claims promptly
Generate and distribute payroll-related reports and summaries
Act as a subject matter expert on payroll best practices and system usage
Assist with auditor inquiries and reporting
Global Benefits
Support equity administration processes
Help manage benefit programs including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans
Coordinate with benefits brokers on enrollments, terminations, life events, and address changes
Support open enrollment processes
Support vendor relationships and serve as a key liaison with benefits brokers and carriers
Advise employees on benefit eligibility and plan details
Maintain accurate and up-to-date benefits documentation and records
Assist in the creation of employee benefits materials and communications
Perform monthly reconciliations of benefits invoices
Support Short-Term and Long-Term Disability, and leave of absence cases (e.g., FMLA, parental leave)
Assist EH&S as needed with Workers’ Compensation management
Help administer the 401(k) plan, including onboarding and record updates
Assist with annual 401(k) plan audit
HR Operations and Support
Address employee inquiries related to payroll, benefits, and HR policies
Ensure compliance with all relevant payroll and benefits laws and regulations
Organize and maintain confidential employee files
Update and maintain employee records in the HRIS and physical files
Take on additional HR projects and duties as assigned
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in payroll and benefits administration; international experience is a plus
Bachelor’s degree required; a degree in accounting or related field is ideal
Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is a plus
Proficient in HRIS systems and advanced Excel skills
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information
