OM2 (OLED Material Manufacturing Limited) is located in Shannon, Ireland, and is a wholly owned subsidiary of its Irish parent company, UDC Ireland Limited (UDI), and, ultimately, Universal Display Corporation (UDC), a publicly- traded company headquartered in the United States (U.S.). UDC and UDI are world leaders in the development of state-of-the-art materials and technologies for use in organic light emitting diode (OLED) displays and lighting.
Job Summary:
The Product Handling Technician will support UDC’s operations in Shannon, Ireland where our OLED products are produced and shipped to customers.  This person will perform hands-on work alongside a small team of co-workers in a laboratory/clean room setting at our manufacturing facility in Shannon, operated by PPG.  The job requires the ability to multi-task and to work in a fast-paced environment.  This person also needs to have a keen attention to detail.


Responsibilities:
  • Complete activities associated with the Order Generation and Fulfillment (OGF) process consisting of Receipt, Storage, Selection, Dispensing, Packaging and Shipment of UDCs specialty chemicals.
  • Fulfill any other customer or internal requests including supporting the Quality Management
  • System (QMS) processes
  • Coordinate logistics for inbound and outbound shipments of UDC’s materials from the Shannon site.  Troubleshoot and resolve shipping and other associated issues as they arise.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory systems for all UDC-owned materials at the for both operating labs at the site.  Transact and deliver materials to UDC operations at the facility.
  • Immediately escalate issues that have the potential to negatively impact the customer or the process
  • Maintain highest standard of housekeeping and organization to eliminate error.
  • Work and collaborate with cross functional teams within UDC global structure.
  • Complete other activities as assigned, associated with UDC’s operations
  • Additional duties as required
Qualifications:
  • Minimum Leaving Certificate; 3rd level qualification (Certificate/Diploma or Degree) in a technical field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience with weighing and dispensing desirable.
  • Experience within a laboratory or chemical environment, an ISO environment and/or continuous improvement environments are desirable.
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with peers and management. 
  • Experience with computer applications such as Microsoft Office, SAP or other ERP systems and familiar with various internet software programs.
  • Ability to actively participate and contribute to an effective working team, follow instructions, and make recommendations for improvement.
