Job Summary:

UDC is seeking a Research Chemist to work in the analytical and thermal team at our R&D facility in Ewing, NJ. The role will mainly focus on the sublimation and purification of our state-of-the-art phosphorescent OLED materials as well as performing and reporting thermal analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Sublimation and purification of OLED materials
  • Analyze thermal properties using TGA, DSC and related techniques
  • Data entry and tracking of samples
  • Maintain laboratory equipment
  • Receive and document incoming chemical shipments
  • Other related projects at the direction of management

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in chemistry
  • 0-2 years of laboratory experience (internship / undergraduate research) is preferred
  • Background in organometallic and/or analytical chemistry a plus
  • Knowledge of or experience with organic electronics, sublimation and/or thermal analysis (DSC, TGA etc.) is a plus
  • Wet chemistry, purification and/or crystallization experience strongly desired
  • Ability to perform and succeed in a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Experience reading and interpreting general technical information
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing with peers and management
  • Experienced in basic computer software and internet applications
  • Ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems in an efficient, proactive manner
  • Demonstrated track record of accuracy and thoroughness
  • Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
